TASTIVA / WORD COACH

Practice difficult words to type

Some words slow you down even when you know the keyboard layout. Long letter sequences, repeated consonants and awkward finger changes are easier to improve with deliberate practice. Typlora's Word Coach finds the words with your most recorded mistakes and makes a targeted drill.

How Word Coach identifies problem words

In standard practice sessions the browser compares each character you enter with the expected character. When a single wrong character is typed, Typlora looks up its surrounding word in the reference passage and adds one mistake to that word.

These are absolute mistake counts, not word-level error rates. A common word can accumulate more mistakes simply because you encountered it more often. The ranking is a useful place to choose drills, not proof that one word is objectively harder than another.

Five one-minute exercises to try

Each link starts a focused 60-second test. The chosen word appears regularly among other practice words, so you can work on it repeatedly without pasting text into an AI chat.

A realistic practice routine

  1. Complete a normal one-minute typing test and review your accuracy and WPM.
  2. Choose one word with several recorded mistakes in the Word Coach panel.
  3. Do two focused one-minute drills, slowing down if the same error repeats.
  4. Repeat a standard test under similar conditions and compare outcomes.

A faster focused-word score is not equivalent to a faster normal typing score. Typlora separates personal records for different target words. If your hands become uncomfortable, take a break.

Privacy and measurement limitations

The Word Coach only analyzes built-in passages such as words, sentences and guided lessons. It does not store words from custom text, imported .txt files or code examples. Saved results contain small counts attached to built-in words, never the whole typed text.

Only words between three and 22 letters qualify. Punctuation and numbers do not count as word characters. A corrected mistake still counts; bulk insertion events don't contribute word analysis. You can export or erase your local history at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Does it measure the speed of each word?

No. Word Coach counts wrong keystrokes associated with a reference word. WPM remains the average speed across the full typing session.

Can I share a word drill link?

Yes, for built-in practice words and words previously identified in that browser's history. A link such as ?word=keyboard#test opens the keyboard drill.

Does this require a login?

No. The typing tests and local reports run entirely in your browser.
